The AGM will be short and sweet. The majority of the committee are staying on but nominations for new members are always welcome. If you are interested in joining the committee or have a nomination please get in touch with Raewyn.
Afternoon tea will follow the AGM. Please bring a mug for tea/coffee and a folding/camp chair.
Janet and John are commercial flower growers and have been in the flower growing business for over 30 years.
They have 3 and 1⁄2 acres and 1 shade house in which they grow Hydrangeas for the local flower market.
They also have a large garden, a wood lot and a small art gallery.
The wood lot was planted in 1990 and has kept them supplied with wood. Janet grew the gums and wattles from seed and the Black Wattles from plants.
The trees have been felled and coppiced about 3 – 4 times.
John is an amateur wine maker, making fruit wines in the gallery which he shares with
Janet, who has been an artist for many years. She paints in serveral mediums and has
paintings of New Zealand scenery and flowers.
They have recently planted some new fruit trees to replace the trees in the old orchard.
Dress according to the weather and bring a cup for afternoon tea.
Parking: Follow the Tree Crop signs. Please do not park on the drive as it is shared with neighbours.
