Bothwell Park Road, Otaua, Waiuku.
In 2000 Jeanette and Pam established Made in Heaven Ltd and use the trade name Scarborough Fare for their culinary herbs. Situated on the sunny slopes of the Otaua Hills between the Waikato River and the West Coast, they propagate and grow twenty plus types of herbs.
They produce over 25 tonnes of fresh herbs per year with the help of 13 full time staff plus themselves.
Establishing a niche market, the herbs are sold to quality merchants in both the retail and wholesale sectors which supply cafes, restaurants and caterers.
During the summer season they export as well.
They are GAP Certified (a traceable, accountable system from crop to customer ensuring quality control).
This is a chance to see a unique commercial venture in operation.
