Field Trip – Bees in our environment
Wednesday 16th April 11am-2pm
Te Aute Road, Havelock North, 4172
Orchestrated pocket discussions about Bees at the property of Peter & Glenda.
Peter will tell us why he keeps bees, what they do for and to his property, and he will chat about New Zealand bees. Trevor Rayner (Beehive Gardens) will discuss optimum hive numbers per neighbourhood. Gui Vilhena (Hohepa) will be there to talk about honey bees.
There is plenty of TreeCrop-interest to be seen at Peter & Glenda’s property.
Take along your lunch and liquids and any bee questions you would like discussed.
NZTCA members free / Non-member fee $10 per person will apply
This weekday event is a trial run, in response to members requests for some field trips to be held outside weekends. Future weekday events will depend on the response we get to this one.
