Food Bill 2010 (2010 No. 160-2)

Food Bill – Submissions, extracts:

“…A walk around a farmer’s market will provide insight into public interest in locally produced gourmet foods.  Many of these items (jams, relishes, fruit vinegars, mustards, marinated mushrooms, damson gin etc) are currently on Schedule 2 and if these regulations go ahead they will disappear from our farmer’s markets and from our tables…”

Update – late 2014: This bill has now passed into law as the NZ Food Act.
